The Grand
How can a dual-tower development share common access and amenity areas?
Two residential towers share amenity areas, allowing ground floor uses to host retail and blend into the surrounding transit district
At the intersection of the Central Platte Valley and the LoDo transit and entertainment district, The Grand is comprised of two residential towers at the epicenter of Denver urban living. Uniquely positioned adjacent to a courtyard atop the Union Station bus terminal, this unique space was integrated into the building amenity areas.
The streetscape is paved with pavers matching the rich patina and historic character of the adjacent Union Station / LoDo neighborhoods. Shade trees provide comfort and a softening aesthetic for a highly walkable neighborhood.
A woonerf provides access to an interior courtyard with access to a bike corral and a landscaped court. A pool deck supports a lap pool, and is surrounded by lush landscape, chaise lounges, with an adjacent outdoor dining area and fire pit. On the upper floor, a club room spills out onto a deck, which provides intimate gathering areas and a perfect environment to soak in the views of the city. A community garden supports residents with a diverse range of produce, and a variety of perennial beds provide color and habitat throughout the growing season. A dining area and grill area provide a range of spaces to support the diverse interests of residents.
