Surprise Rescue Oasis Park
How can a park reflect the spirit of a community while supporting recreation, safety, and connection?
By bringing together aquatics, inclusive play, and civic identity, Rescue Oasis Park creates a destination that celebrates everyday life and the people who help protect it.
Surprise Rescue Oasis Park unfolds across 27 acres as a vibrant civic landscape where recreation, community service, and play meet under the desert sky. More than a park, it is a gathering ground that invites curiosity, movement, and connection for residents of all ages.
At its heart, a state-of-the-art aquatic complex encourages visitors to cool off and spend time together, while a thoughtfully crafted playground inspires discovery through movement and exploration. Winding paths move through varied terrain, guiding children and families across spaces for climbing, imaginative play, and open-ended adventure. The playground’s inclusive design ensures that users of all abilities can participate fully, creating a shared setting for activity, laughter, and social connection.
Anchoring the park’s civic character is Fire Station 309, a modern facility with four apparatus bays and ten firefighter dormitories. The station supports the city’s growing emergency service needs while reinforcing the park’s strong connection to public service.
One of the park’s most memorable features is the fire-station-themed splash pad, Soak Station 309. Here, children run through sprays and fountains inspired by fire hydrants and hoses, turning water play into an imaginative firefighting adventure. The space offers refreshing fun while honoring the city’s first responders, adding a sense of pride and community spirit to the park experience.
