4-Mile Entertainment District

How can an entertainment district prioritize nature and trails?

Creating a 21st century entertainment district

A new entertainment district in Glendale could have turned its back on an adjacent creek and greenway. We saw a way to embrace nature while creating one of the region’s first open consumption districts.

With Central Street Capital and Mulhern Group, we are transforming a rare 10-acre site on the banks of Cherry Creek into Colorado’s newest entertainment district, soon be home to movie theaters, live concert venues, exclusive shops, fine dining, casual dining, sports bars, and much more. This $150 million project will open in 2026.

Dig Studio developed a diverse collection of experiences for people of all ages to enjoy. Pedestrian focused spaces will connect the site internally and to adjacent trails and neighborhoods through upgraded paving materials, art and sculpture, tree lined streets and entertainment spaces, and detailed landscapes of native plantings. Featured public spaces include a central lawn with outdoor stage and shade structure, a play area and splash pad, spaces for pop up vendors, a shaded beer garden, an art-focused central plaza, and a creek-side promenade. Together, these spaces form an activated, highly detailed public realm to support entertainment, events, and connections to the adjacent natural environment.
