Denver's Iconic Downtown Corridor Welcomes the Community Back
Denver's Iconic Downtown Corridor, 16th Street, Reopens After Transformation
We’re thrilled to celebrate the reopening of 16th Street! After 4.5 years of design and construction, Denver’s iconic downtown corridor is ready to welcome the community back.
Famous for I.M. Pei’s historic design, 16th Street has been re-energized as a vibrant urban spine. Through thoughtful urban design, innovative soil-cell tree plantings, and extensive community collaboration, this “main street” has been reimagined as a dynamic 21st-century gathering place—one that honors its history while connecting the heart of downtown.
