A promenade leads people through the plaza to the retail shops along the north edge and the residential pool clubhouse.
The plaza is activated by surrounding ground floor retail with café seating overlooking the town green and performance stage.
The Superior Town Center brings many complimentary uses together providing public gathering spaces within a pedestrian scale, walkable, connected downtown core. The design carefully considers the town’s history, founded as a coal mining town, with materials reflecting the historical vernacular while creating an up-scale contemporary sense of place.
As the heart of Downtown Superior, a central plaza serves as a focal point and creates a space for gatherings for town events, such as the Superior Chili Fest, race day festivals, or farmer’s markets, and includes intimate zones for day-to-day activation.
