A dynamic, pedestrian-focused public realm for the beloved historic center of Arvada.
Dig Studio led a team of planners, designers, and engineers to develop a vision for the next 20 years of public investments in historic Olde Town Arvada. Through a robust process of community engagement, including input from over 2000 members of the public and various local organizations, our team outlined a series of targeted strategies to maintain and enhance the special quality of life in Olde Town. These strategies, and the future projects they will recommend are organized by a series of four guiding principles developed through conversations with the community and a two-day planning charrette. The four guiding principles that guided this Olde Town plan are: Vibrant, Resilient, Connected, and Distinct.
Olde Town is the historic heart of Arvada and well-connected to the larger region via the RTD G-Line.
The community overwhelmingly supports making the pedestrian streets a permanent feature of Olde Town.
