Designing Spaces that Foster Social Collisions

Laurel Raines presented with Louise Bordelon, PhD at the AIA Conference in November 2020 a session on ‘Designing Spaces that Foster Social Collisions’.  As designers, we have the opportunity to shape spaces that foster social collisions and promote social interaction.  Layering in design for new discoveries through repeat visitation is key to creating unique experiences.  Laurel outlined a series of design solutions that serve as an antidote to isolated communities and loneliness.
